How to Make Tylose Gumpaste

Here is one of my tutorials on how to make Tylose Gumpaste. There

are many recipes for gumpaste out there, and some that you can buy. But

tylose gumpaste works so great, even when I use other gumpastes I

find myself combining this gumpaste to make the other gumpastes

work better. Hope you guys enjoy! Thanks for watching.***

Tylose is less expensive than most gums on the market however it can be tough to locate since it is mostly avail... Internet.

Gum Trag or the long version of the name….. gum tragicanth is another gum additive used in many different recipes to make gumpaste and pastillage. It add strength and stretch to the final product.

Gum Tex is more readily available to most and is made by wilton. Like gum tragicanth, gum tex is an ingredient to make gum paste pliable, elastic & easy to shape.

Gum Arabic - a versatile hydrocolloid that has many applications. Its low viscosity and adhesive properties, meanwhile, make gum arabic an excellent ingredient for coating cereal, confections, and snack foods.

CMC Powder or sometimes referred to as Super Gum and CMC Gum, Food grade and industrial grade CMC Gum is also known as cellulose gum. It is derived from purified cellulose such as cotton linters. CMC Gum helps products retain moisture. CMC Gum is a man made gum.

  4. I watched your tutorial which was easy to understand but towards the end I noticed you had a bottle of chemical Windex on your work bench which I assumed you used to clean down your surface. Can I suggest you don't use chemicals to clean your work surfaces rather use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water and I may also suggest you redo the video without the Windex in the background.
